Hello,

I am the Manager of Programming at the Houston Public Library, and I am putting together a graphic novel author event for September of this year. We have chosen Marjane Satrapi’s novel, Persepolis, as our 2010 Books on the Bayou selection (like One City-One Book), and this graphic novel event will be part of that celebration. Is there any possibility that you would be available for the event? We would have a local bookseller on hand to sell books.

Joe. Lori and I missed you at SDCC this year. I got stationed up here in Bangor Washington and had to take Lori from Mysterious Galaxy with me. I still say it’s Spinal Tap regardless of AC DC’s Who Made Who. By the way, Do you ever think you will come up here for a signing?

Really, really glad to hear that Chris! I am one of those folks that freak a little when I hear (or read) anyone say anything about suicide. It’s just one of those red flag words for me. I did sorta have the idea that you were saying that after February you could die happy, once you’ve gotten the chance to read HORNS. But keep in mind it will be a while before L&K is done!!

I am completely sorry Hill and fans. I have a morbid sense of humor and sometimes forget it is hard to detect if you don’t use “laugh out loud”s or other hints. I apologize if I caused people to worry and everything is fine.

Chris – er, ditto what herbie1976 said. In general, suicide jokes always fall a little flat online; folks worry. If you aren’t joking, then let people know you’re struggling, either online, or out there in the real world, and get the support you need. What’s up?
