Get Your GAME On

Locke & Key, Vol. 2: Head Games is out today, so if you happen to find your way to a bookstore, maybe to buy a long-awaited thriller about Freemasons or sumpin’, and you’ve got room on your credit card bill for one other book, I hope you’ll pick it up.
And don’t forget, you can also still get an autographed copy of Head Games by ordering from River Run Books by September 23rd (603-431-2100). More info here.
Oh, one other thing: I guess I should take a second to dispel a misunderstanding that’s been going around the interweebs. Diamond Distributing goofed in their catalog and listed Head Games as volume 1… but it really is the second book in the series, you can tell by that big number 2 on the spine. Many online comic stores have repeated Diamond’s error. If you happen to be a comic dealer, and you list your new items online, and you have the book labeled vol. 1, I’d be grateful to you if you’d take a minute and correct your listing.
(There was a time, maybe even just a year or two ago, when something like this would’ve had me eating my own liver, but, y’know, mostly I think it’s sort of a laugh. I’m going to see if we can’t have the next book listed as volume 7, just to fuck with people.)

Hey–> just wanted to let you know that i stumbled across your entry about contacting River Run Books for an autographed copy of HEAD GAMES… I called them a few minutes later, and they hooked me up with wonderful, friendly customer service.

I loved the first volume, “Welcome to Lovecraft”, so I am off to buy this one too

FYI: L&K “Welcome” was recommended to me by the guys at Comics Factory in Pasadena ’round about issue #3 of the floppy, and I’ve been following it ever since. GREAT work, and I’ve recommended it to many. I’ll make sure Head Games got ordered and has a prominent place in the store (they sell a TON of tpb’s these days) when I go in today. Hey, dude, it’s COMICS DAY. 55 damn year old and STILL enjoying it … Great work, too — best ‘horror’ graphic storytelling available these days, and that’s sayin’ somethin’.

Well, if you’re a famous writer and you can’t f*ck with people, then what’s it good for?

I like the beginning of the first book, but all this music I’ve been buying is running up my bill. I’ll probably get it anyway. Just not be able to get the extra iTune’s music.
I also love everything H.P. Lovecraft ever did. Well…Herbert Reanimator was hard to get through-I don’t agree with him, I think people have souls-but I’ve read it twice anyway.
Lovecraft is one good thing I got from my experience of reading everything Stephen King did until The Gunslinger 7.
I read one thing of his after that, which I liked. It was in that book ‘Sunset.’
A short story about a group of people who didn’t know they were ghosts until the end of the story.
Apple makes it too easy to buy music, and I’ve been collecting everything Blink-182 ever did. I HATE the “clean” versions; I’ve seen too much on my job as a Paramedic to be shocked by mere language. And I have a naughty streak in me-I guess it matches my sister’s “impish” side. Her word not mine.
I went to a Blink 182 concert because my friend, who’s a police officer, was part of the security at their L.A., California show. He made it possible for me to go. This was a while ago.
People try to throw each other over the top of security officer’s heads and onto the stage. It never works, especially not when Greg my friend, is watching.
But they kept trying. Living in eternal hope.
