BangPop Today

I’m sailing off for Bangor, Maine, to be at the first ever BangPop! show, a one-day pop culture convention (Bangor is probably long overdue for such an event). Details here. I’m doing a reading and Q & A at noon, and a panel discussion about genre fiction at 3, and in between I’ll be signing books. There’ll be advance copies of the 20TH CENTURY GHOSTS trade paperback for sale, and I’ve also got a pile of advance copies of the LOCKE & KEY: WELCOME TO LOVECRAFT hardcover, which we’re going to be raffling off to benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation. Hope to see you there… should be fun.

Bangor Maine is not too far from me how a crow flies, but by foot, bus, then ferry (The Cat), it would take me forever. Then the passport and being searched for drugs, etc., entering the United States. (haha).

I’ve never been to Maine. My mother had once. She took a senior bus trip.

The benefit to Make-A-Wish foundation is excellent, Joe. What I’m trying to say is: HAVE FUN!

I preordered my hardcover Locke and Key months ago. It says it ships October 3rd. Almost time! Yay!
Also, BangPop also has to be the greatest Pop festival name ever.

That is really great you are contributing to Make-A-Wish. The sappy girl in me gets teary eyed whenever I think of that foundation (Or St. Jude’s). That’s great of you!

Have a great time and congratulations on being a part of the first ever BangPop!

    Hey folks,

Joe’s new novella, Gunpowder, is now available for purchase at PS Publishing. There is a slipcased hardcover of 100 copies (signed? I dunno, Mr. Crowther was a little vague) for $92 US, a “jacketed hardcover” for $40-something – I forget how many copies, and a “hardcover” for $22, 600 copies. Publish date end-of-year.

Hard to find on the site, upper-right corner search “Joe Hill” and you’ll find it.
